Week 9 : Transdisciplinary Approach In Sustainable Development & Case Studies

Assalamualaikum my dearest friends! I'm glad that we can meet again after this semester break. So today we gonna discuss about Transdisciplinary Approach in Sustainable Development and Case Studies.

What is transdisciplinary approach (T\A)? It is means a curriculum integration method that blurs the distinctions between traditional disciplines and centres teaching and learning on the development of meaning in the context of real-world situations or themes. The trans-disciplinary approach  allows for dissemination and  application of evidence-based  theory and strategies

Why (T\A) is important to Sustainable Development? Because the development that meets the  needs of the present without  compromising the ability of  future generations to meet  their own needs.

As a common knowledge, there are actually transdisciplinary innovation which are multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary.

So, why is this strategy so crucial in resolving difficulties of sustainable development? Because The relational aspects of collaboration between academic and non-academic actors that are required to meet the complex intellectual, value-laden, and action-driven issues of sustainable development are referred to as transdisciplinary processes for sustainable development. A transdisciplinary approach brings together knowledge and experience from a variety of relevant professional fields. Each professional contributes ideas, data, and thoughts to help identify the problem or concerns linked to long-term sustainability.

In a word, as IIUM students, we must support all of our university's efforts, particularly those aimed at ensuring that we practise sustainability in our daily lives in order to achieve a variety of sustainable development goals. THANK YOU!
